Plan and book your ‘North of England City Experience’ in 5 easy steps.

Buy your TransPennine Express ‘North of England City Experience’* train ticket in advance. It is valid for 4 days use from 9.30am daily, within any 8-day period – you can decide when to take your trip. You can buy the train ticket in advance from TranspPennine Express’ website – It will be posted to your home address.
The ‘North of England City Experience’ ticket connects all of cities with frequent services bringing you into the heart of each city. Travel at your own pace – you decide how many days to spend in each city.
Step 2
Decide where to start your ‘North of England City Experience’ Simply take a train from where you live to any of the cities to begin your North of England City Experience.
Step 3
Book extra Experiences in each of the cities. Explore each city to find more experiences here.
Step 4
Decide what type of accommodation you’d like to stay in. Each city has a range of accommodation including homestays, hostels and budget, 3,4- and 5-star hotels and apart-hotels. We know that you know where to find the best deals, but each city has some suggestions here.
Step 5
